A. Defining the Concept “A Standard” + Creating a Standard Landscape

DEFINITION/DECISION TASK (20 MINS)

5 minutes: What pops up in your head when you hear the word “standard”?  Come up with an intuitive definition: Standard to us means: __________ ?  Could be: “A guideline to do stuff” or “A similar way of doing stuff” or “Everything is done the same way”.

1. Is “standard” a noun? A verb? (Standardise) An adjective? (A standard way) – What do you think?

2. Read your definition out loud – see if you can make it briefer.

3. Is “standard” the right word for this? Could you give it another name? Like: “Automation-enabler?”

15 minutes: Create a Standard Landscape with post-its on the cardboard. Draw your standard landscape and place the different types of standards in a visual pattern: Pyramid, flower, house … Take a photo of your finished board.

B. Create Three PowerPoint Slides

CREATIVE TASK (20 MINS)

Give a 1 minute Strategic Speech on Good Standards with 3 Power Point Slides.

Slide 1: 10 minutes. Craft a Meme that can serve as the opening of your strategic speech on Good Standards to all of Future Standards and OT.

Slide 2: Write your brief definition. 1 sentence only.

Slide 3: Photo of your overview of the Standard Landscape from the first part.
